University of Falmouth

Univesity of falmouth: Tremough Campus
Marine and Natural History photography is a BA(hons) degree.
The course is 'a unique programme of study' This is a photography degree course which covers both wildlife and marine photography. The university aims to extend the students skills communicated to others through your own photography, words and moving images. This will enable the student to develop into a confident wildlife photographer.
Students of this course will also recieve expert tutition from staff at the university who are all photographers or scientists, which will allow progress in problem solving, practical skills and many other areas.
The course is a variety of different things, as well as being taught photography in the three year course you will also be learning the scientific side of habitats and species. Marine and natural history photography will involve tradition, electronic skills as well as still and moving images. Students of the course will also evolve a large range of specialist techniques and skills including, time lapsed photography, film making, close up and photomicrography.

One of the reasons i chose to begin looking into this course was because i think that one of my main interests is definitely in photography, i've been experimenting with photography for a number of years as well as using new digital and old film techniques. However one area i really would like to have focused on in photography is wildlife as i spend most of my free time already developing in these areas. I feel i would enjoy this work a lot more as this is the kinda of work i already focus myself in, compared to commercial photography. However much i would also enjoy taking on that course as it would be a new area to develop in.

When looking on the website i fount out that the entry requirements for this course would be 220 ucas points which would approximately work out to a pass-pass-merit grading. (?)
