Adam Simpson

Originally from Leicester. He began studying at Edinburgh college of art, before moving on to study at Rhode Island school of design in the US.
Adam Simpson revolves all his work around drawing, 'swinging between clean graphics and intricate illustrations.
The work that he has created has led to him being named one of the art directors club's Young Guns in 2009. Simpson creates "images that the viewer can return to and potentially see something different.." The work he creates is detailed fun and whimsical. Striking the right balance between communication.
Graduating from MA in 2006, he works mostly on freelance works and projects which are personal to himself.

Simpson also works in design and animation however he insists that these areas mainly consist of personal 'experiments'.
However he is now currently in the early stages of project with designer and animator; Fraser Croall.
When Adam Simpson is faced with the task of tackling an illustration of a design brief he will normally begin by sketching out his ideas. After his work has been approved he will then upload the work into photoshop. This mainly consists of tidying the image up.

Recently he has announced that he is working on a new set of images for the book Utopia, written by Thomas More. Which will be available to buy in 2011. Also announced is his own personal projects; A book and an animation. However he stresses that they are not yet completed.
For further images his work is now available online at: http://www.adsimpson.com/
