I feel Laura's use of acrylic was to a high standard and the pencil outlining made the swans stand out more as solid objects. I thought her design fitted the word well, and was a peaceful and gentle idea which represented togetherness. To improve the design I would have outlined the finished painted images with a graphics pen just to make the swans stand out a little bit more, and to enhance the feathers to make them more three dimension.
